FAQ

  1. MBF is a nonprofit 501C3, and donations are tax deductible. We send a receipt for your accountant every time you donate. At the end of the year, if you would like a record of all your donations for the year, just ask.
  2. The cases we help are pre-qualified for you. We check the owner’s finances to be sure that they really cannot afford the treatment fees. And we check to ensure that the pet has a good chance of one-year survival if they get treatment.
  3. A campaign in MBF is different from a GoFundMe, Waggle or other such campaigns. Most people who apply to us have already run one of these, and were not able to raise the donations. We do raise the funds needed.
  4. We use your donations for the cat or dog’s treatments. If not possible, then for another cat or dog’s treatments. We release funds only to the clinic, never to the owner. Funds are never sent to a clinic before treatment, for the clinic to hold and use at will.
