Holiday Party for MBF

Coco

From John Bass and Jerry Jones, November 2017:
Every year we host a Christmas Brunch in our home for our close friends and families.  This is a time to reflect on the year and look forward to the next.  The past few months have been trying for our family in that our dog, Coco, was diagnosed with lung cancer.  Fortunately, we were able to align with a team of pet oncologist and completed radiation treatments to help fight the growth of cancer in Coco’s lung.  As we were going through the treatments we realized that while there is great new technology available to fight cancer, the cost of such treatment is quite expensive.  Fortunately for us, we were able to afford those treatments; otherwise, it’s very likely that Coco wouldn’t be with us today.

We can’t imagine not being able to care for our dog because of cost!  When we inquired how to help others with the cost, we were introduced to the Magic Bullet Fund. This non-profit organization provides funding for families who cannot afford care and treatment for their pets.  As such, we’ve decided to use this year’s annual Christmas brunch to raise awareness and raise funds for this wonderful organization in honor of our dog, Coco.  Working together, we will save pets’ lives.  We are honored to be a part of this wonderful cause!

UPDATE December 2018: Coco is still doing well!
